Analysis of the success of individual game activities in an ice hockey match for HC Motor České Budějovice players

The bachelor thesis dealt with the analysis of the game activities of an individual in a hockey match. We have divided the issue of ice hockey into several categories: game combinations, game systems and individual game activities. Their characteristics and methodology were dealt with in the most extensive chapter of the analytical part. Statistics were also taken into account as it is becoming an increasingly important component not only of hockey, but of sport in general. In this chapter, we explained why basic statistics alone are no longer enough, and we explained the available advanced statistics. Part of the analytical work was devoted to the history and development of ice hockey, both world-wide and Czech. In the synthetic part, 4 defenders and 5 attackers from the HC Motor České Budějovice team were monitored, for whom the success and frequency of individual game activities were recorded during selected matches in the last year of the Czech top competition, such as passes, 1 on 1 battles and faceoffs. Based on the obtained statistics, an analysis was performed examining the relationship between the success and frequency of game activities with the results of the match and a comparison of the success and frequency of the monitored players.

Comparison of selected performance indicators basketball players from NBA in matches at the European Championship in 2011 and World Cup 2014

Title: Comparison of selected performance indicators basketball players from NBA in matches at the European Championship in 2011 and World Cup 2014 Goals: Analyze individual efforts NBA players for two international events with national team, in broader context to evaluate and quantify their efficiency with the two special coefficients. Compare their performance on each tournament with using selected statistics, than compare them with the elite players in many categories at the championships, but also in their teams. I think very useful is final comparison their results on tournaments with their career averages from national team and NBA regular season, to see if the performances for national team achieve their performances in the best club competition in the world. In teoretical part I'll also focus to the socio-economic aspects affecting composition of national basketball teams, which significantly affect the overall composition and therofore their success , which is prestented by overall team placement. Obvious is endeavour to describe the diversity of game plans in overeas and Europe, but also different politics of NBA and FIBA. Diagnosis of game performance by statistical analysis in ice hockey

Aim of the thesis The aim of this thesis is to show usage of analysis of basic and advanced statistics to evaluate the game performance in ice-hockey. Using this analysis can be more accurate because it is based on facts. This statement is compared with evaluation of the game performance by the experts that used direct observing method. The main aim of this thesis is to bring this idea to the Czech ice-hockey community which can be helpful to improve the club hockey in Czech Republic or improve Czech ice-hockey itself. Methods of thesis The method of analysis of statistical data to evaluate the game performance is used in this diploma thesis. Statistical data were acquired by indirect watching of video records of the games. This analysis is compared with method of direct observing of the game to evaluate the game performance which was used by experts. Conclusion By analyzing current situation in evaluating the game performance it was found out that many teams are still using method of direct observing to evaluate the game performance. In practical part of the thesis the experts after using method of direct observing of the game came up with different conclusions.
